I’ve been testing out a new pattern design technique

Happy Sunday!
Last week I enjoyed sharing some secret, never-before-seen sketches from an old sketchbook. I’m always creating artwork that I view as just for practice, fun, or total failures. I usually keep those things to myself, but I thought it would be fun to share one of these secrets with you every week.
So here’s something secret and something new I’ve been working on!
Something Secret - Trailing Floral Patterns
This week, I took a workshop by Bärbel Dressler on creating trailing floral patterns. If you’ve never seen these before, here are a few examples by Bärbel herself.

I’ve seen many examples of patterns like these and always wondered how they were created, so it was fun to work through one of my own. Here’s the simple pattern I created from following the steps of her workshop.

I don’t love how it turned out (which is why I’m keeping it between you and me 😉), but I did enjoy the process. Working through this pattern sparked a lot of ideas for new ones I can create. I’m excited about playing around with this technique more and creating more varied, less basic patterns.
Something New - Mushroom Products
Last week, I shared some of my mushroom drawings with you and mentioned I’d be making them available to purchase. I uploaded the individual drawings as prints as well as a print with the full collection of shrooms. Now you can purchase them on a load of cute products! Here are some of my favorites:

By the way, if you’re interested in purchasing these in a specific color palette or if you see anything wrong with any of the products, feel free to email me and let me know! I’m happy to make any changes.
That’s all I have for you. Have a great week!
