Here’s something secret I’ve been working on and something new for you!

Something Secret - Fruit Doodles

The weather is getting warmer around here which is putting me in the mood for summer, and summer always reminds me of fresh, sweet fruit. So this week, I worked on a few fruit doodles! Here are a couple of pages of apples and citrus fruits—

After creating my mushroom drawings digitally, I wanted to go back to traditional ink, and I had a lot of fun with these! I realized this week that I definitely have a style that I lean into with my traditional work. After drawing random stuff in random styles for years, it feels good to finally settle into something that’s fun and feels like me.

I’m planning to turn these doodles into cute designs and I’ve already doodled tons of more fruit, so be on the look out for those in the coming weeks!

Something New - Mushroom Mini Pattern Collection

I also took my mushroom drawings and made a mini pattern collection!

Once again, I struggled so much with the colors. After walking away from it and coming back the next day, they started to grow on me. Sometimes I want to just avoid color altogether, but I know we’ll never become friends if I don’t practice. I’m leaning into the awkwardness of using color and I know I’ll get there eventually!

These designs have been turned into a bunch of products, and I actually love how some of them turned out! I might be ordering myself a new phone case 🤔
