Here’s some new art I’m currently working on and a new product available for you.
Working On A Watermelon Mini Collection
This week I took some sketches and ideas I had for watermelon-inspired patterns and I made a mini collection out of them.
I think the first design is my favorite, but I love the simplicity of the others as well. I tried my hand again at the trailing floral technique and it was a smoother experience this time. I’m glad I decided to stick with it and try it again because it was fun and I love the result!
Since I’ve been uploading my designs on different products in my Redbubble shop, I’m starting to notice which ones I enjoy my designs on the most. In particular, I’ve been vibing with the A-line dresses they offer.
At first, I would have never expected to enjoy making patterns for dresses, but when I take a peek at my own closet, it makes a lot of sense. I’m not much of a pattern person in general except when it comes to my dresses. I love a casual sun dress with a fun pattern.
This had me inspired to get back into drawing characters and putting my designs on their clothing. I used to struggle with making interesting outfits for my characters, but now I get to marry this new pattern design skill with my character illustrations.
Thankfully I didn’t totally lose my ability to draw people, but I’m going to get back into practicing regularly. More of these to come!
Releasing My New Citrus Collection
I released a whole load of citrus patterns with lemons, limes, and oranges. Here is one of my favorite designs, this lime slice dress. Fun and casual, just the way I like it—
As always, you can check out the shop to view this entire collection on a variety of products as well other designs I’ve created.
That’s all I have for you. Have a great week!
